While talking is one of the main things you do in therapy, it is so much more than a place to talk or vent. It is a collaborative process that is rooted in a strong therapeutic relationship. While initially individuals often seek therapy in order to relieve specific symptoms- depression, anxiety, a general feeling of ‘stuck-ness’- I find that over time, many come to discover that therapy can be a life-changing experience that provides far more growth and transformation. Our work together will help you to develop a stronger sense of self- what you want and don't want, like and don't like, allow you to live more authentically and meaningfully, and increase the quality of your relationships.

As a therapist, I bring my warmth, compassion, and sense of humor to create a collaborative and accepting relationship. I believe that knowledge is power. I empower by helping to synthesize your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with my understanding of theory and the latest scientific research. This insight facilitates lasting change and allows you to have the freedom and capacity to live life more meaningfully. I work from a strengths based model that seeks to build on your innate abilities and strengths in order to reach your therapeutic goals and promote change. With consent, Finn also provides a gentle, loving presence that can be very comforting, anxiety reducing, and uplifting in sessions.

I consider myself a generalist; over the course of my training I have specifically sought out a wide variety of clinical experiences and therapeutic modalities. I enjoy and look forward to working with individuals in therapy who are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, behavioral issues, difficulties with self-esteem, arduous or painful family dynamics, relational challenges, navigating life transitions, feeling ‘stuck,’ and with those who wish to know more about themselves.
In addition, I specialize in administering psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
I believe in the importance of making therapy inclusive for all ages, genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, nationalities, religious affiliations, abilities, and sizes. Therefore I welcome the opportunity to work with clientele from diverse backgrounds and life stages.
