I believe that everyone possesses the strengths and resources to overcome life’s challenges- even if sometimes we need a little assistance. In fact, I view seeking help as a sign of great strength. My role as a therapist is to help you better know and understand yourself. We will use this insight to build upon your innate abilities and strengths to understand obstacles, overcome challenges, and pave a way forward.
I also work with a Service Dog, Finn, who provides a gentle, loving presence that can be very comforting, anxiety reducing, and uplifting in sessions.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia. I graduated from The George Washington University with a doctoral and master’s degree in clinical psychology. I completed my Pre-Doctoral Residency at The Psychiatric Institute of Washington.
I also hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology as well as a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from George Mason University.
I have had extensive experience in individual and group therapy as well as in administering psychological assessments for the purposes of assessing one’s level of psychological health, diagnostic clarification, and the classification of learning disabilities.
